Abagatan Ti Manila

Monday, February 13, 2017

After our ocular visit at The Forest Barn, we also dropped by their suggested premier hotel/resort for wedding preparation which is 7 kilometers away. It was in Abagatan Ti Manila, in Ilocano phrase, it means "South of Manila". Consider it as a walk-in ocular because we didn't request for an appointment on that day. As we enter the resort, we were speechless by how colorful and lush the gardens were. Their garden landscapes were very refreshing and well-maintained and initially we were intimidated and assumed that room rates were expensive for this luxurious haven. Since we were already parked, we continued with our inquiry at the reception area. We were welcomed by the receptionist and asked us to take a seat for a while in the lobby while waiting for our welcome drinks. The main lobby was so wide, clean, cozy and bright, the walls were all made of clear glass panels. Everything was in white, black and wooden brown hue. I drooled on its modern contemporary architecture. What attract us more were the lighting fixtures and those mason jar chandeliers hanging on a circular-shaped dropped ceiling that gave the rustic feel.

The receptionist accompanied us to their superior rooms. I was not able to take picture of the rooms but it was consistent with the modern style similar to the lobby. Their rooms would be a perfect wedding preparation venue. Aside from the hotel rooms, they also offer wedding packages. They showed us the huge function hall that can be used for indoor wedding ceremony or as reception. They also showed us the garden wedding venue which was located on the far side near the lagoon. They made us use their golf cart too.

The hotel was built only in 2014. It is totally new and the modern contemporary architecture design is a peg for life.

The function hall is huge and well-ventilated, the sides are clear glass panels with combi blinds.

They also explained that the lagoon can be used during wedding ceremony. Instead of walking down the aisle. The bride can cross the lagoon while standing/sitting on a raft enclosed with small gates. It is totally a unique idea. The raft will be pulled by a rope up to the other side of the lagoon near the elevated garden venue.

The tour ended on the garden venue. The receptionist asked for our number for follow-ups. But like what I've written in my previous post, we didn't push through on booking The Forest Barn, but if we do, Abagatan Ti Manila will definitely be our wedding preparation venue. I would like to commend the receptionist for being so kind and accommodating to us. I hope, one day I can stay here for a quick weekend getaway.

P.S. The rooms are affordable but their wedding package alone is beyond our overall wedding budget. Well, their accommodation rate was our main concern in the first place. :)

  1. Planning for a wedding seems easy but it is quite difficult to find the right venues. The manager at New York wedding venues were so wonderful, personable, and responsive. We received the best possible service on our wedding day.
