Step by Step: Renewal of ECE license

Sunday, May 20, 2012

Last Friday, we went to PRC (Professional Regulation Commission) in Morayta to renew our professional IDs.

I have here the step by step process in renewing professional IDs for ECE.

1. Renew IECEP Membership.

The IECEP office is located at the 3F of Don Lorenzo Bldg. just infront of PRC. PRC requires certification from IECEP before they accept your duly accomplished renewal form.
Upon paying the amount of Php 1300.00, you will receive a certification stating that you are a member in good standing and you have acquired 60 CPE units. Yes.. 60 CPE units even though i was not able to attend to any of the IECEP seminars to acquire it. :)

We arrived at the office around 8 AM, but the clerk came around 9:30 AM. IECEP renewal requires one picture (1x1 or passport size) and a photocopy of recent professional ID. Your new IECEP ID will be sent to your mailing address.

2. Go inside PRC Bldg. Present duly accomplished form together with the photocopy of IECEP certification at Assessment Windows (Window 17 and 18).

Application forms can be downloaded at PRC official site.
You need to paste one passport size picture (close-up, colored, in white background with complete name tag) and fill-up the required fields.
As of this moment, application for fast ID/ Express ID is temporarily suspended.

3. Pay prescribed fees at the Cashier.

The cashier is located outside the building, beside the main entrance. Basic renewal fee is Php 450.00. There is a surcharge fee of Php 30.00 for late renewal.

4. Go back to Window 17 or 18 to get your claim slip. Submit another passport size picture (close-up, colored, in white background with complete name tag).

5. Optional Step: If you want your ID to be delivered at your mailing address. You can go to WWWExpress booth (delivery service affiliated with DHL).

For Metro Manila deliveries, it costs Php 80.00.  For rural areas, it depends on your location if they have branch there.

We finished at 11:30 AM. Although our professional IDs are not required in our present work we still manage to renew it because we remember all our hardships and sacrifices during review and in the actual board exam. :)

    3. Not sure if available na po ngayon ang express id service. Temporarily unavailable po kasi nung May. Tawag nalang po muna kayo sa prc para makasigurado.
