For the past few weeks, I've been seriously busy reading books, novel in particular. So unusual since I'm not into reading fiction. But there's something in the Fifty Shades Trilogy written by British author E.L. James that makes me want to read it more and more... not because of the erotic scenes and BDSM relationship involved in the story but primarily because of the 300% kilig factor (btw, it's a love story and not mummy porn!) between the characters of Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey. I don't want to tell the story as I don't want to spoil my readers, Fifty Shades is really a phenomenon nowadays! :)
There are speculations that Fifty Shades of Grey will head into the big screen via Universal Pictures and Focus Features by March 2013. As of now the castings are not yet revealed and there are polls everywhere on who people prefer to play the role of Ana and Christian. Early favorites to play the role of the beautiful, brilliant and intimidating Mr. Christian Grey are Matt Bomer, Ian Somerhalder and Ryan Gosling.
Personally, upon reading the description of Christian in the novel, all I can think of is Ryan Gosling. I'm hoping and praying he will be chosen for the role. I'm confident that he can give justice to it because he's so passionate when it comes to his craft, manifestations are all his awards from multiple award-giving bodies in US and Canada, as well as his best actor nominations in Academy and Golden Globe Awards. I can never forget his characters as Noah in 'The Notebook' and as Dean in 'Blue Valentine'. These days, Ryan is busy shooting an untitled Terrence Malick film with Rooney Mara and Christian Bale. (based from his Instagram posts :p)
Fifty Shades of Grey : 100 % kilig factor
Fifty Shades Darker : 200% kilig factor
Accidentally turned on this page of an old issue of Entertainment Weekly at the salon. I think we're meant! Haha.. My Fifty Shades (in absence of Radney Adona)... :)
